Earth System Modeling Framework Intensive Design Meeting

An intensive design meeting for the ESMF project will be held on February 19-22, 2002 at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado. On the morning of the 20th we will hold an interactive tutorial in order to familiarize project participants with the ESMF development environment. See the agenda for meeting details.

We'll plan to start the Wednesday session at 8:30 AM as well.  We won't be providing coffee or snacks, but there's a cafeteria right next to the Training Center.

If you are an NCAR employee with an ID/access card, you can enter the building through the middle doors (in the middle of the two towers) and you will be standing directly in front of the Training Center. If you do not have a UCAR/NCAR ID, and you arrive prior to 9 AM, someone will be there to let you in.  If you do not have a UCAR ID card and arrive after 9 AM,  you will need to enter through the lobby area, located in the west tower. There is a phone in the lobby that can be used to call for entry into the building.

DIRECTIONS

Instructions from the DIA to the Millennium Hotel:

From Denver International Airport, take Pena Blvd to I-70 West to I-270 to I-76 West to I-25 North to Highway 36 West. This will take you into Boulder and turn into 28th Street. The Millennium Hotel Boulder is on the west side of 28th Street, just past Colorado Avenue and before Arapahoe Avenue.

Instructions from the hotel to NCAR Mesa Lab:

Turn right (south) on 28th Street.  Continue to Baseline exit and go straight on 27th Way. This continues to Broadway.  Turn left on Broadway (south).  Continue to Table Mesa Dr.  Turn right on Table Mesa and follow road through residential neighborhood to top of mesa.

Instructions from the hotel to NCAR Pearl Street Corporate Technical Training Center (CTTC):

Turn left (north) on 28th Street. Continue on 28th Street to Pearl Street.  Turn right on Pearl Street.  Continue past overpass and turn right onto Pearl East Circle (the next right after light past over-pass).  Continue straight after stop sign and turn left into parking lot.  The NCAR facility is in the second building back on the left side of Pearl East Circle. The CTTC is located on the first floor near the cafeteria.

Parking is limited at the Pearl Street facility so please try to either car pool or take the NCAR shuttle.
